What you can expect from the first appointment on.
Upon your initial call, two appointments will be scheduled with one of our Remodeling Consultants. The first appointment will be at your home to discuss the desired project.
During this meeting, we will conduct a project assessment, take measurements and pictures and discuss a design that fits into your budget.
The second meeting will take place at our show room. Here we will review the design, materials and present you an investment figure. A detailed estimate is given based on the design you chose.
Upon deciding
on moving forward with the project, you will be introduced to your project manager who will coordinate the project according to the final plan. He will be on site daily and answer any questions you may have.
Once the project is complete, a quality-control walk through will be done to ensure the project meets your satisfaction.
10 STEP REMODELING PROCESS
1. In-Home Consultation
On the first appointment, a Cipriani Builders Remodeling Consultant will visit your home to discuss your project, take pictures and measurements, and offer suggestions for design and budget.
2. Estimate and Preliminary Design
The second appointment is normally held at the Cipriani Builders show room where the estimate and preliminary design (if required) is presented. At this time, you will have the opportunity to see sample products, manufacturers’ information, warranty information, and pictures of the different types of materials that will be used in your project. In some cases, our computer design system can be used to enable you to better visualize your project through the use of perspective and 3D images.
3. Decisions Are Made
At this time, you can decide to:
A. Okay the Project Development Agreement. This would allow your Remodeling Consultant to proceed with further design and estimating work if you want Cipriani Builders to do your project and you would like to explore multiple design ideas or budgets. (This would require your signature and your ok on our project development agreement). Once the final design and budget have been reached your Remodeling Consultant would then begin the process of preparing your final agreement as described below in item’s #4 and #5 to ensure that everything that was discussed is in writing.
B. Not do the project.
4. Agreement Process Begins
When you decide to move ahead with the project, additional meetings may be required to develop the final design, make the required product selections, and complete the agreement specifications. The tentative start date can be discussed at this time.
5. Agreement is Presented for Approval
An appointment is scheduled for you to meet with your Remodeling Consultant to review and sign the completed final agreement.
No materials are ordered until all of the products have been selected and the final agreement is signed.
6. Permits and Final Order
The agreement will be reviewed to determine what is needed in regards to architectural plans, permits, or special order materials.
7. Pre-Construction
A pre-construction meeting is scheduled at least 2 weeks prior to the contract start date. This meeting is held at the jobsite with you, your remodeling consultant and project manager. At this time, the production team is introduced to you and the entire project is discussed in detail to help minimize any questions that may arise during construction. The job planning takes place at this meeting and may take several hours. You do not need to be present for the job planning portion of the meeting. The start date is discussed at this meeting to determine if everything will be ready for the job to start as planned or if an adjustment will have to be made to the start date.
8. Project Begins
Project is started on the date that was determined at the pre-construction meeting. The project manager will stay on the job until it is done.
9. Project Completed
When the project is nearing completion, an informal meeting or quality control walk-thru will take place with you and the project manager to make a list of any items that are not completed to your satisfaction or to Cipriani Builders standards. This list is known as the “punch list”.
10. Thank you visit
After the project has been completed your remodeling consultant will be scheduled to come out to your home for a thank you visit. At this visit, your remodeling consultant will take after pictures of your remodeling project.
